Manuel Vasquez Jr., 68, USA/Vietnam - RNC/07 August
« on: August 06, 2020, 05:03:10 AM »
The family of Manuel Vasquez Jr., 68, has invited the PGR to participate in honoring his life and service to his country. It will be a privilege to do so.

Manuel Vasquez Jr. served his Nation during the Vietnam War from January 1969 to January 1971 in the United States Army as a SP4.

After he completed his obligation of service, he returned home and worked at various jobs and was known in the neighborhood as the handyman / painter. He never married and never had children. He loved his nephews and nieces like they were his own. He also loved to go fishing, camping, going to the casino's and of course he liked his beer. A few years he had a mild stroke which limited his mobility and along with issues that came with the stroke.

Manuel leaves behind his mom, Concepcion who's 95, two younger brothers, Mike and Freddie who's a retired Army Veteran, the other brother Salvador who was also a Vietnam Veteran died last year of health complications and is also interned at Riverside National. His surviving sister's are Stella, Marilyn, Clara and baby sister Sylvia. He will be deeply missed.

Do not follow where the path may lead...Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.-Courage

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
