The family of GySgt Edwin Hassebrock (82) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Edwin served for 21 years 6 months including a tour in Vietnam as a chef. Edwin earned in his service his Rifle Expert Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Pistol Expert Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal.

After his time in the Marine Corps, Edwin worked with the civil service at MCRD San Diego and as an armed security guard at the Kobey's swap-meet and at many sporting events in San Diego.

Edwin is survived by his wife Betty, their 3 children Dennise, Dennis & Edwin and 2 grand children

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be standing a Flag Line for Final Honors.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

1115 – Flag Line for dignified transfer of Hero to coach

1225 – Arrival at Miramar National Cemetery

1230 – Flag Line and Funeral service with full military honors

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
