It's that time of year again, and Irwindale Speedway has once again generously invited the Patriot Guard to be present for their Armed Forces Appreciation Night. Last year was a ball and this year should be as much fun as well as a great chance to honor American Veterans.
We will meet at Irwindale Speedway not later than 1700hrs (5pm for you civilians). Park on Speedway Drive by the palm trees (you'll know them when you see them). We will be met by DeAnna Gardner who will escort us onto the speedway infield for recognition and a brief ceremony. At the completion of the ceremony we will be escorted onto the track where we will make two or three laps before being escorted off the track.
Our bikes will be parked in a supervised area while we are guest of the Speedway for the evening races.
Yes, we can bring guests. No, cars will not be allowed to do laps on the track, but they will be allowed on the infield.
There is no cost for us or any Gold Star or Blue Star family to attend this evening.
Bring your flags for honors during the presentation ceremony and the playing of our National Anthem.
