The family of Harry M. "Bud" Seagondollar, Sr. has invited the PGR to be present to honor him for his final services, we are honored to do so.

Harry “Bud” Seagondollar Jr, 88, died Dec 31, 2020 in Apple Valley, CA. “His family described the elder Seagondollar as a dedicated and loving son, who lived an an example of honesty, ethics, and hard work.” according to a vvdailypress article on the hero.

"Bud enlisted in the California Army National Guard following his 1950 graduation from San Bernardino High School. Later the unit was activated into the Army, Company A 224th Infantry Div in the opening days of the Korean War. He served as a sergeant in charge of a recoil-less rifle squad in a front line combat position and saw action during his deployment..” Bud served from Sept 1950 to June 1952 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.

Bud later went back to college, becoming an architect who was responsible for the design and building of many of the homes and businesses in the Apple Valley area. He helped design the first home of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on outer Hwy 18 in Apple Valley. His passion for the desert was also exemplified with his membership in the High Desert Cultural Arts Foundation, and the Apple Valley Chili Cook-off.

Bud was a product of the Great Depression where his dad walked 10 miles to borrow 45 cents to buy clothes to bring his wife and newborn son home from the hospital when his son was born. The hero was a family man from the word go. He had 6 kids and hosted many of the boy's friends on outings to learn to ride off-road and road bikes. The family owned 13 motorcycles according to his son Troy.

Our hero is preceded into eternity by his wife of 60 years Veronica, who he will reunite with at the cemetery. A brother Dwayne also precedes him in death. He is survived by a brother, Ronald; children Timothy, Daniel, Christopher, Sandra, Troy and Tenea. Fifteen grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a loving dog Snowbird are also among the family.
