The family of Erik Ramirez, age 37, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present as their Hero receives his final military honors, we are privileged to do so.
Erik Ramirez enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2004 and served proudly until his honorable discharge in 2008 at the rank of Corporal. He was assigned to 2nd LAR Bn 2nd Marine Div. Camp Lejeune NC. He was deployed to Iraq, serving two tours of duty. He was awarded the following, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global war on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global war on Terrorism Service Medal,National Defense Service Medal, Combat Ribbon (Iraq), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2nd awd).
Erik loved sports, he was a big fan of the LA Dodgers and USC football, he also loved spending time teaching his children in whatever sport activity they were involved in, specially wrestling.
After serving his country Erik continued serving the public as a Correctional Officer for CDCR.
Erik is survived by his parents Arturo and Mercedes Ramirez, brothers Arturo Jr, Derek, Sister Arleen Sotelo. Wife Karina and his children Erik Jr, Mark, Leah and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
