The family of Cpl Brandon Javier Alvarez, age 22, and the US Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for his arrival as he is returned home to his family in So California, we will be honored to be there.

Cpl Brandon Alvarez was born in Thousand Oaks, CA on 31 Jan 1999 and passed away in the island country of Bahrain on 06 Jun 2021 while on duty in a non combat related incident.

Cpl Brandon Alvarez was a proud and dedicated Marine who was serving in Bahrain with FAST Co., Central Marine Corps Security Force Regiment. He had recently transferred there having previously been stationed at MCAS Miramar.

Cpl Alvarez will be remembered as a loving son, brother, boyfriend, friend and great Marine.  He will not be forgotten.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary, approx 19 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.

NOTE: COVID-19 restrictions may apply, masks/face coverings have available

1230 - Prepare for movement to arrival location

1315 - Est KSU to Pierce Bros Valley Oaks-Griffin Mortuary, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362 (approx 19 miles)

1345 - Est arrival at Mortuary

1355 - Flag Line for dignified transfer of Hero to building

This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
