We have been invited by the family of Silvino Ramirez to be present for military honors as he is laid to rest. We are privileged to do so.
Silvino Ramirez, 86, served in the Army from 29 January 1954 to 28 January 1957. He was stationed in North Carolina and Korea. Silvino served briefly with the 82 Airborne as a Heavy Weapons Infantryman. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, and Good Conduct Medal
After he exited the Army, he started working in the fields picking oranges and was smudge pot patrol, assuring that the fruit did not freeze. The family then moved to Riverside, CA in 1965 and resided in Woodcrest, CA. He started working as a laborer for construction for many years and retired. He also worked for Mayflower School Bus Transport as a janitor for 10 years. He retired due to health issues consisting of two different cancers, lymphoma and kidney cancer. He beat both cancers and had been in remission for approximately 20 years.
Silvino was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Ramirez, who passed away on 3 July 2008, daughter Lupe Marquez, and brother Ignacio Ramirez. He is survived by his children: Mary Cervantes, Edward Marquez, and Ruben Ramirez. He has 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by five brothers, Larry, Tony, Joe, Michael, and Henry; as well as four sisters, Phyllis, Helen, Teresita, and Monica.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
