The family of Gilbert M. Arellano, Jr., 67, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors of their loved one as he makes his journey to his final resting place. It will be our honor to do so.

Gilbert was born 06/20/54 on and entered into eternal rest on 07/11/21.  He suffered from cirrhosis of the liver due to complications from hep C contracted in the Army that eventually took his life.

He served in the US Army from 1972 to 1974 was a sharp shooter.  After he was honorably discharged, he worked as a supervisor for Wholesale Roofing Supply in San Bernardino until 2011.  He was unable to continue to work due to treatments for his medical condition.  He remained unable to work and was on medical permanent disability until his passing.

Gilbert was a social butterfly and was so loved around the neighborhood.  He had a heart for children, the elderly, and widows.  He was always helping out the neighbors where there was a need.  He absolutely loved his family and granddaughters.

Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of 42 years.  He is also survived by one son, Gilbert Arellano III; four granddaughters; three brothers, and one sister.
