The family of GySgt Ian James Huffman has requested the PGR to be present at his military honors as he is laid to rest.  It will be our honor to do so.

Ian retired from the USMC after serving for 20 years.  He served in Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, serving both in Iraq and Afghanistan in the Global War on Terror.  During that time, he earned a dozen plus medals including the Presidential Unit Citation. In addition to many deployments, he was also crew chief for Marine One assigned to the President of the United States.  After he retired from the Marine Corps, he earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Professional Aeronautics and Entertainment Business and went on to work as a Quality Assurance Engineer with NASA.

Ian is survived by his wife, Jaime, and three children, sons, Sean and Aaron, and daughter, Lauren.

The family is asking for an accompaniment of our Hero’s cremains from the mortuary in Canoga Park to Los Angeles National Cemetery (approximately 20 miles).

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

NOTE: Please observe the latest COVID restrictions. Please have a face covering/mask and 6-foot distancing if required.
