!! TIME CHANGE - SEE TIME TABLE BELOW 15 MIN EARLIER STAGING !!

The family of LT Paul R. Fridley, and the US Navy have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

LT Paul Fridley 28, served his country for 3 years in the US Navy, time that included completing Pilot Training School. Paul hailed from Annandale, Virginia and was serving in his first command HSC-8 when sadly he and 5 of his shipmates crashed into the ocean 31ST August 2021 while flying in their MH-60S Seahawk helicopter during “work up” missions onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).

One sailor escaped the helicopter crash and was retrieved from the ocean, unfortunately, Paul and four others aboard were not found during the several-day long search for them. Sea salvage missions are currently underway to try and locate them and their aircraft so they can be properly laid to rest.

The family has requested a flag line and accompaniment from the church service to a 1400 committal service at Ft. Rosecrans, a distance of approximately 33 miles. There should be motor escorts.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the chapel service to the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
