Author Topic: Jerry M. Rowe, 66, USMC, Vietnam Vet, Temecula/Riverside - 24 MAY 14  (Read 1939 times)

The family of Jerry M. Rowe has invited the Patriot Guard (PGR) on Jerry's final journey.
 
Jerry proudly served his country in the USMC, serving 2 tours in Vietnam from 1966 to 1972. Jerry earned the Combat Action ribbon, Good Conduct medal W/1 star, Nat'l defense service medal, Vietnam service medal w/3 stars, RVNArm for MUC of the gallantry cross w/palm leaf, Vietnam campaign medal w/1960 -, riflebadge (marksman), Pistol badge(sharpshooter).  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant.
 
After serving the Marine Corps Jerry became an Los Angeles Police Officer and retired as a detective.  He also loved riding his motorcycle.
 
Jerry is survived by his wife Ana Rose and family.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral services to his final resting place (approximately 29 miles). Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1030 - Standby for flag line when Hero is brought out to coach.

1145 - Est Arrival at RNC
 
1200 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, Service and Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
