Saturday, 24 May - Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518 - Placing of the flags to honor the Veterans. 0800 hrs at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater.
Monday, 26 May - 68th Annual Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Day service, Carter-Smith VFW Post 9/11, 12650 Lindo Lane, Lakeside, CA - Reading of the names of all fallen heroes since 9/11. 1100 to 1400 hrs, to sign up to read

Monday, 26 May - 35rd Annual Memorial Day observance, Riverside National Cemetery, 1100 hrs at the Amphitheater. Arrival of West Coast Thunder motorcycles will begin the ceremony. Keynote Address by the 4th Air Force Commander Brig. General John C. Flournoy Jr. Riverside Concert Band will kick off the day at 1030hrs with a medley of patriotic music.
Monday, 26 May - City of Downey, 1100 hrs, Downey Cemetery, 9073 Gardendale Ave., Downey, CA 90242
This free one-hour event is open to all community members and will feature remarks by the District Trustees, a wreath laying, a rifle salute by American Legion Post 270 and the playing of Taps. The Ceremony will take place at the Veteran's Memorial Wall and garden in the Downey Cemetery. Limited parking at the Cemetery, overflow parking is available at the Metro Green Line Station with shuttle service.
Monday, 26 May - Westlake Village Memorial Day Observance - 1030 to 1200 hrs - Pierce Bros. Valley Oaks Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd., Westlake Village, CA 91360.
Monday, 26 May - The ALR has several they are supporting, these are all open to the public, however, the activities at the ALR Post involved may not be open to anyone other than American Legion members:
ALR 200 (Lake Elsinore) Memorial Day Ceremony May 26, 2014 9:30 am On Memorial Day the Lake Elsinore cemetery pays tribute and honors our Veterans that have served our Country. The First Assembly of God Church helped organize the many volunteers and organizations that work hard to provide this annual tribute to honor our veterans.

ALR 229 (Victorville) Memorial Day Ceremony May 26, 2014 9 am. Post 229 will be at the Victorville Cemetery on 11th Street for Memorial Day ceremonies. MAP:

ALR 555 (Midway City) Memorial Day Ceremony May 26, 2014 10 am. Chapter, Post, Unit, and Squadron 555 will be meeting at Post 555 on Memorial Day at 1000. MAP:

Post 852 Memorial Day Ceremony (ALR 852 Temecula/Murrieta) May 26, 2014 10 am
Come join us as Post 852 honors those veterans who are no longer with us. The ceremony includes reading the names of all 186 veterans buried at Laurel Cemetery Murrieta and a commencement by a Chapter 852 member who is retiring after 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. MAP:
