The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to Welcome Home Abigail Tillman, RP3(Religious Program Specialist Third Class), U.S. Navy.

Abigail is coming home for the Holidays for the first time in over two years.

Last month, Abigail returned to Norfolk, Virginia, after an eight-month deployment overseas aboard the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7). Her deployment was a rough one. During this time, she had her fiancé break off their engagement through an email in Spain. Two weeks later, she crushed her hand and had to be flown to the U.S. to have her hand fixed and in a cast for six weeks. When she returned to the Iwo Jima a few weeks later, the pullout in Afghanistan began.

The Iwo Jima had 2,200 Marine on board and was the first to get called into action. One of the Marines aboard the ship was one of the 13 killed at the Kabul Airport bombing.

Her deployment got extended until all troops were out and safe.

The PGR will meet and honor her with a Flag Line.

Bring your flags, your smiles, your handshakes, your hugs, and let’s show this Sailor how much we appreciate her service to our Country and us.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in welcoming this Military Hero home.

NOTE: Please observe the latest “COVID-19” restrictions.

NOTE: Please wear your R.E.D. shirts for all those who are deployed.
