The family of Dominic William Schiavoni. age 90, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them as they bid a final farewell to their hero. We are honored and privileged to fulfill their request.

Dominic served in the US Navy aboard an Aircraft Carrier as a systems engineer participating in numerous air missions over enemy territory. He enlisted on May 11, 1949 and was honorably discharged on March 04, 1953 and served during the Korean War.

He carried forward his military training to civilian life working for Lockheed, Boeing and other defense contractor’s as a defense systems engineer. He worked on the team that developed the SCUD missile defense system.

His only hobby was Golf as he spent most of his time working.   

Dominic is survived by his son, Ed, his daughter Nancy and her husband Bobby.

NOTE:  This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the mortuary to the cemetery. Please see the timetable below if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

NOTE: Please observe the latest “COVID-19” restrictions and have a face covering should the need arise.

SPECIAL NOTE: There will only be two family members attending this service. They have asked the PGR to assist with carrying the casket.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
