Dear Patriot Guard Riders,
My name is Dawn Masucbol Duarte. My family and I had the honor of your presence at the Riverside National Cemetery for a service for my father U. S. Navy Officer James C. Masucbol on May 12, 2014.
The Patriot Guard Riders are an AMAZING group of people. No words can express how thankful and proud I am to be a part of this. This is something I will always remember as well as my brother, and my three children how their Papa was laid to rest. The honor and respect you showed my father was strong and truly breathtaking. You escorted my father to the shelter, watched him be carried through the flag line, saluted him, and personally took time to talk and console me and my brother through this tough time was very inspiring and beautiful. Your heart felt words made it a little easier for me to know I made the right choice and felt my father was proud of me for following his wishes.
Unfortunately, we are at a time of war, many of the fallen are coming home and their families are requesting your presence as well, I know my father was proud to be honored by Ride Captain Stormy and Rider Bill. My father was a simple man who always put others before him. The presence of two Patriot Guard Riders was perfect for him.
