The family of Claude Edward Means has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Claude “Ed” Means died of natural causes at the ripe old age of 100 years, 2 months, & 2 days.
Ed joined the “Army Air Corps” August 6, 1942 and rose to the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged November 18, 1945. He fought in the battle of the bulge. Ed received the European African middle eastern medal. A good conduct medal, Victory medal, American theater service medal.
After leaving the Army Ed worked as a UPS driver and a big rig driver. After he retired from trucking, he drove motorhomes and hauled trailers from point A to point B for La Mesa RV.
His hobbies were building his own cabin cruiser for the ocean. He loved deep sea fishing, bowling, bead work. He liked to make belts, hat bands, necklaces, earrings, and gorgeous vests.
Ed was survived by his daughter Cheryl and his son Claude Jr. He had 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
