Dear Craig,
I wanted to reach out to you and say thank you for the escort from my house down to Riverside National Cemetery. When you saw my tears when you drove up and lined my yard with the American Flag, it was mostly of joy and appreciation for all of you. My husband served his Country and the Patriot Guard’s show of honor to him overwhelmed me. As when we first spoke, Jim (Terry) had a hard time with how the Vietnam Vets were treated when coming home. I was so proud to have a spouse who believed in the Marine Corp and the Armed Forces, which stands up for us here in the United States. Your show of support to lay him to rest was one of the greatest honors he could have ever received for his service.
My family and friends were thrilled with the Guard’s show of support. The memory of his burial will never be forgotten without dear thoughts of the Guard.
You mentioned that I can call you anytime and that works both ways. I am a Civil Accountant, Analyst for over 30 years and have my Master’s in Public Administration. If you ever need help with research or accounting services or auditing for the Guard let me know. I will volunteer my time.
