The family of Richard Cross Sepulveda, age 85, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

Richard Served in the United States Marine Corps from May 11, 1954 until April 3, 1958 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. During that time he received the National Defense Service Medal.

Richard was born and raised in Kansas and joined the Marine Corps shortly after High School, after serving in the Corps he settled in the San Diego area and went to work for the City of Oceanside in the utilities department, working in the sewers.  He worked for them for 35 years, working his way up to Superintendent prior to retirement.

A die hard Marine, Richard's motto was "Semper Fi until I die" and he always wore his Marine hat proudly everywhere he went. He was a faithful member of the NRA and had quite a gun and knife collection. He loved being outdoors and was a great tennis player and runner. He also loved fishing and camping. He was a good man who stepped in to raise his grandson and take care of his grandson's mother when she became disabled.

Predeceased by his wife Margarita, survived by sons Manuel and Ricardo, daughter Anne Marie, his grandson Esaias, and 2 granddaughters.
