The family of George A. Montano has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
George served proudly in the US Army and National Guard, 1947 to 1952. George was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal for Japan.
In his hometown of Calexico, George partnered with Frank Moreno to open Double M Billiards Parlor in 1959. The business name signified the first letter in both their last names. He was also in the grocery business and was part owner of Super Shopping in Calexico for several years. Hobbies were carpentry, fishing, photography, gardening, and enjoying the history channel.
George is survived by: Daughters; Georgina Weiss (Jeffrey Weiss), Rowena Carrillo (Victor Carrillo) and Teresa Montano. His grandchildren; Giovanni Carrillo (Deona Miller), Ivette Gray (Matt Gray) and great grandsons, Jayden and Landon Carrillo.

We will meet you there for those who would rather go directly to the cemetery.

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
