The family of Edison T. Inay have invited the Patriot Guard to be present to honor this very distinguished and decorated Vietnam Veteran for his service to his Country. It will be our honor to do so.


Edison T. Inay retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy on October 31, 1980.


During his 21 yrs. of active service, Edison served as a Maintenance Material Control Officer, Aviation Supply Chief, also Senior Chief Petty officer of the Command, and was  qualified as an Officer of the Deck while in port.


During the Vietnam War, Edison was attached to the Navy Support Activity Unit in Danang. While in Vietnam, SCPO Inay provided logistical support to the Third Marine Amphibious Force and other third Country Combat Forces.


SCPO Inay was awarded and authorized to wear the National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, Navy Unit Citation , and Merit Unit Citation with Gallantry Cross.


Following his retirement from the Navy, Edison worked for more than 10 years as an Inventory Control Clerk with General Telephone in Pomona.  In 2007, he fully retired after finishing his career serving as a Youth Correctional Counselor for the California Youth Authority at the Heman G. Stark Facility in Chino


Edison leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Flordeliza Inay of Chino. His daughter and son-in-law Eileen and John Simon of Yorba Linda; Daughter and son-in-law DeAnna and Steve Prescott; and 4 grandchildren Stephen Dean, Austin, Owen and Evan Prescott, all of Chino.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.


NOTE:  Church service will be in Progress so please arrive quietly. This is predicted to have a large turnout so PGR will stage at #8 if possible. If not we will stage at 8 1/2. Family will stage at #3. It is possible we may be moved to 9. The family was estimating could be as many as 250 people.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
