The family of SSgt Frank R. Lake, age 41, and the US Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero as he is transferred from the mortuary to the airport as he is sent home for burial. We will be honored to do so.
SSgt Frank Lake was serving with the US Marine Corps as the supervisor of the Brig at Camp Pendleton when he sadly perished. SSgt Lake had enlisted in the Corps in 2008 and proudly served for 14 years. A Marine's Marine, SSgt Lake was very devoted to the Corps and to our country. One of his mentors says "Frank is a professional who understands the value of servant leadership. He always looks for opportunities to improve his management and leadership skills for the betterment of those around him. I am honored to mentor an amazing professional like Frank."
SSgt Lake is survived by his wife, Evelyn, the love of his life, and 3 children, 16, 10 & 4, and many other family members, friends, and his fellow Marines. He is dearly missed and will never be forgotten.
