The Family and loved ones of LCpl Gary Waid Pontis, 59 have invited the PGR to accompany & perform a Flag Line for his service and we are honored to do so.

Gary served in the Marine Corp received the National Defense Service Medal, Certificate of Commendation and the Rifle Marksman Badge. He also received the Good Conduct Medal.

Gary was married to his first wife from Sept 10, 1975 to 1982. He was remarried to his second wife Marylyn for 30 year, 9 months and 1 day when he passed away on April 2, 2014. June 25th would have been his 31st anniversary to his loving wife Marylyn. He follows his parents and all four brothers to heaven to keep watch over his two beautiful daughters Trista Louise and Delia Fay and all his grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from Lancaster to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
