We have been invited by the family of Frank Ruiz Flores, 81, to be present as he receives his
military honors, we are privileged to do so.
Frank Flores proudly served in the United States Army from November 21, 1963 to his honorable discharge as a PFC (E-3) on August 20,1965. During his service Frank earned his Expert Rifle M-14" badge. After his regular service Frank continued his service in the Army Reserves until November 1969. Frank's kids enjoyed hearing the stories that involved shooting firearms, especially the ones that involved night time firing exercises. He would describe the tracer rounds lighting up the sky.
After his military service, Frank was an RTD/MTA bus driver for 27 years. He worked during the riots of 1992. He would give a piece of bubble gum to every rider that stepped on his bus. His riders loved him. Early in life, he had a 1958 Corvette. He had the car when he was dating his wife. Her little sister would have to chaperone them on dates. He grew up in Riverside in Casa Blanca. He loved photography and karaoke; his favorite crooners were Elvis and Frank Sinatra.
Just in case I added the definition of Crooner: Crooner is a term used to describe primarily male singers who performed using a smooth style made possible by better microphones which picked up quieter sounds and a wider range of frequencies, allowing the singer to utilize more dynamic range and perform in a more intimate manner.
Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bea Flores. Two sons, Frank Flores and Robert Flores; Four grandchildren (Adrianna, Andrew, Alexis and Victoria). He is the last survivor of five siblings.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
