Part 1 of 2 Parts

The family of LS2 Roy Beck and the US Navy have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for the arrival of their Hero as he returns home to his family for his funeral, we will be honored to do so.

LS2 Roy Beck was serving as a Logistics Specialist on board the USS George Bush in Norfolk, Virginia at the time of his unexpected passing.  He had served several years in the Navy and was very proud to be a Sailor serving his country.  He was well respected by all his fellow shipmates, those who worked above and below him in rank.

Roy is survived by his mother and other family members, many friends and his fellow Sailors.  He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary, approx 4 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.
