The family of Retired Sergeant First Class Felix Rios, Jr., 53, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Felix was born on 6 October 1968 and entered into Eternal Rest on 10 July 2022.

Felix was a veteran of the Iraq war, earning the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone. He also served in Kuwait in the Global War on Terrorism.  Throughout his career, he was recognized for his leadership and actions and awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.  In 1994 when Tropical Storm Alberto barreled into Georgia bringing floodwaters that left parts of Macon without power and water for nearly 3 weeks, Felix and his unit were instrumental in providing fresh water to the City of Macon.  Felix was also part of the Department of Defense Joint task force for the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA in 1996.

After his military service, Felix transitioned into other work at Ft Lewis Army Base as the Program Director of the Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics department (ANAM) which provided base line testing of brain function before and after deployments and is used to identify and monitor changes in function after a soldier suffers injury.  The program continues to provide benefits and essential medical data for soldiers today.

Felix found peace riding his Harley, as well as being in the comfort of his home.  As a movie fanatic, he enjoyed classics like Star Wars, Die Hard, The Princess Bride, Fifth Element, and musicals like Guys n Dolls but still had a great sense of humor and could laugh at Me, Myself, and Irene.  Felix played the trumpet, tinkered with the Piano, was an avid comic book and coin collector, and was the ultimate UFC fan, not ever missing a single Saturday pay per view event or fight night.

Felix is survived by his wife of 34 years Maribel, his daughter Mia, his Mother Carmen, his Father Felix, his siblings Alexander, Veronica, and Liana.
