Gene Eldred Robison, 85, USAF - FLO/Downey - 11 Aug 2022
« on: August 09, 2022, 01:47:36 AM »
The family of Gene Eldred Robison, 85, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand a flag line as his cremains are presented to his wife and daughter at the family home.  It will be our honor to do so.

Gene Robison served in the United States Air Force from Oct 1957 to July 1963 where he served as an information specialist.  He attained the rank of A1C when honorably discharged.  He worked in the industrial field for over 30 years after he was discharged from the Air Force.

The following was written by his daughter, Margaret:  “Gene Robison was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma the 9th of April, 1937. He passed in his home the 29th of June, 2022 in Downey, California.

Gene was survived by his wife, Mary B. Robison and their only child, Margaret Robison Olmedo and her husband, Maximino.  He had four grandchildren - Lucy - 30, Ricky - 28, Alex - 25 and Marie 19, and four great-grandchildren -Natalie - 10, Jaiden - 9, Micah - 7 and Elianna - 4.  He was also survived by his brothers Wes and Harold, and sister Tammie.

Gene loved circus peanuts and watermelon. He loved to read and watch old movies. He played a mean harmonica and could ride a wave without a board. He was a gregarious man who knew no stranger. He was secretly generous and helped many throughout his life.

He served in both the Army and Air Force Reserve. He was in the 11th Airborne, a master parachutist, and did 5 combat jumps for a classified mission.

My dad was a great man who loved Jesus and his family very much. He will be missed until we are reunited someday in heaven.”
