The family of Brian James Stone, age 37, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their Hero and be there to mourn his loss and the loss of his wife and son, it will be our honor to do so.

Brian and his wife Alison and son Oliver, age 8, were killed in a horrific car accident on July 26, 2022 near Flagstaff, AZ as they were returning from a family vacation in Colorado.  Their younger son, Alexander, was severely injured and spent several weeks in the hospital. Alex has now recovered enough to be at home and is being cared for by his grandmother.  He has a long road ahead of physical therapy but is hoped to completely recover.

Brian Stone enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 2008 and served proudly for 8 years during the Global War on Terror, he was honorably discharged in 2016 at the rank of Sergeant.  He was part of the 0352 Infantry that saw a lot of combat and suffered major losses during the War.  The 0352 is responsible for anti-armor operations and tactical vehicle operations.

Brian grew up near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and graduated from Timberlake High School, it was during this time he met and married his beautiful wife Ali.

After serving in the Marine Corps for 8 years Brian went back to college and graduated from Vanguard University of So California in 2020. Brian and his wife Ali enjoyed spending time with their boys, whether it was at home or on the soccer fields as the boys were involved in AYSO in Laguna Niguel. The whole family were also regular attendees at a local church.

Brian is survived by 6 year old son Alexander Mattis Stone (named for General Mattis, one of Brian’s heroes), Brian's mother, many cousins and other relatives and friends.  He, Ali & Oliver are deeply missed and will never be forgotten.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, this is a flag line only (FLO) mission at the church. For those who would like to participate, please see the timetable and we will meet you there.

NOTE: There will be no interment at this time, the ashes of all 3 loved ones are in one urn that will be present at the church, but the family has decided to retain the ashes until Alex is old enough to make a decision where he would like them interred.
