The family of Thomas John Collimore Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Thomas Collimore served proudly in the United States Army and the Army Reserves for eight years from 1957 to 1965. After completing boot camp and receiving his schooling as a Military Policeman, Tom shipped over to The Army Reserves.
Tom was a very big sports fan. His favorite teams were the San Diego Padres and the Chargers, but he also followed the New England Patriots and occasionally the Green Bay Packers because he owned stock in them. He liked to participate in auctions online and find the best deals possible. He loved to spoil his wife Beverly all the time. Tom was always a faithful attendant of church at St. Timothy’s Saturday night’s service. He was an avid reader and would read every page of the local newspapers daily, but his favorite were mystery novels, i.e., John Grisham, James Patterson, David Baldacci, John Sanford, Tom Clancy, etc.
He had a love of food but mainly food that was cooked by his wife. He wasn’t much of a drinker but when he did, one of his favorites was Guinness. In his earlier years when he lived back in Connecticut, he was Deputy Police Commissioner and first “Selectman” (mayoral type position), he loved politics. He was a self-made entrepreneur having owned many different types of businesses. Tom was quick witted and full of charm and would liven up every room he walked in with his presence. He always knew how to make people laugh or feel special. Tom was a father figure to many, adopting many friends of his youngest child Michael Arthur Collimore. What stood out most about Tom was that he was a family man, whether by blood or just taking others in. He had a big heart with so much love to give he would welcome anyone into his family. Tom was the pillar of the family!

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission, all PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
