The family of Edward Francis Boisvert, age 88, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany Edward as he makes his journey to his final resting place.  It is our honor to do so.

Edward served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War.  He was fortunate as he was stationed in Hawaii.  Edward was Honorably discharged from the Marines at the rank of Private First Class

Edward was a painter and paper hanger by trade after his service to our country.  He was married to his sweetheart Sylvia for 64 years before her passing in February of 2020.  Edward was a family man.  He coached his sons baseball as his son was growing up.  He loved bowling and having the family together to play cards.  He also liked traveling on Princess Cruises to Hawaii and did so many times.

Edward is survived by a brother Ronald Boisvert, his sister Sharon Turman. His son David Boisvert, Susan Konkel daughter, Debra Nannie daughter, and son Edward Boisvert Jr.  As well as 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

NOTE: This mission posting will facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will accompany the Hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. Riding in honor of our departed PGR brother Chuck Smedley.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just those we honor.
