The family of Jesus Tiofilo Aguilar has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Jesus served in the United States Air Force from March 12th, 1947 – October 31st, 1970 and retired as a Master Sergeant (E-7) after almost 24 years of service. He served three tours overseas: 1958 in England, 1960 and 62 in Guam, and 1969 in Vietnam. Jesus was an MMS (Munitions Maintenance Specialist) and he earned The Air Force Longevity Service Award, several Air Force Good Conduct Awards, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and The National Defense Service Medal.
Jesus enjoyed learning about mechanical things from his father, Emilio Aguilar who was the overall west coast manager for The Santa Fe Railroad, and so after retiring from military service he opened his own auto repair shop. It was a “one stop shop” where Jesus did it all from painting, welding, electrical, and auto repair. Utilizing this passion, Jesus was able to support his family and help others in need.
Jesus is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Odelia and two sons Tony and Rick. He is survived by his son Steven Aguilar (PGR member), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
