Please note timetable change...

Per the request of our good friends at Risher Mortuary and the family of Jose Antonio Lopez, the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) have been invited to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Jose was born on 03 March 1943 in Maywood.

Jose proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. His awards/citations included the National Defense Service Medal  and the Sharp Shooter M-14 Badge. His MOS was Personnel Specialist. Jose was honorably discharged as a Specialist 4 (E-4) from Fort Hamilton, New York.

After the military, Jose was a Dock Worker for transportation company for twenty years.

Jose is survived by his loving daughters, Nina and Joanna.

NOTE: This mission posting will facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.

NOTE: Please observe the latest “COVID-19” restrictions.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just those we honor.
