Part 2 of 2 Parts

The family of UT3 Matthew A. Hernandez, age 23, and the US Navy have invited the PGR to honor their Hero as he receives his final honors, we are grateful to do so.

Matt Hernandez grew up in Whittier, California and enlisted in the US Navy in 2018 shortly after graduating High School.  He was a Seabee serving with the NMCB One, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, in Gulfport, MS at the time of his passing.  His rating was UT3, Utilitiesman 3rd Class.

Matt was a dedicated Sailor and was well respected by all who knew him and worked with him, both above and below him in rank.

Matt was married for 5 years to the love of his life and they were enjoying every moment of every day and looking forward to a bright future together.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, his devoted parents and a very large family and many friends, all who are heartbroken with his loss, he will never be forgotten.
