The family of James D. Smith has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the services of this Korean war hero services, and it would be our honor to do so.

James Smith or "Jim" as he liked to be called joined the United States Air Force in 1950. He served from 1950 - 1952 at which time he attained the rank of S/Sgt. Jim served as an Air Police (AP) while at his duty station in Korea. Jim was stationed with the 6154th AP Squadron.

Upon return to civilian life Jim was a Contractor where he served the community of Los Angeles for 50 yrs.
When Jim wasn't working he was building boats, camping, fishing, or off riding his motorcycle.

Jim lived to be 84 yrs. young. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 62 years Nora Smith.  Jim and Nora had 2 children: Denise Eckenrode, and Jim Smith; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grand child, and 1 brother John Smith.

Note: This request came in from his Grandson James who is also a PGR brother out of Murrieta.
          This will be a flag line only from the coach to the sanctuary.
          All honors will take place inside the church

Let's do this hero proud, and honor one of our brothers at the same time.

1100 - Dignified transfer from coach to sanctuary

NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
