The family of Harold Benally has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Harold served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980-1994. After departing the Marine Corps, he decided to join the Army and he served from 1996–2010. After 28 years of total service, he retired at the rank of Sergeant 1st Class (E-7). During his service, Harold was deployed on several ships overseas and trained with other countries including the Israeli Army, also the Italian Marines, he was stationed overseas and was deployed to Somalia in 1992. In the Army, Harold served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and abroad under Operation Enduring Freedom.
After his service to our country, Harold worked at the Post Office until 2019. He loved golfing, going to breweries, camping at Camp Pendleton, and having bonfires with friends. Harold was a true patriot and loved this country! Harold was 100% Navajo and grew up near Churchrock, New Mexico. He had a small family and is survived by his wife Bonnie and daughter Ariana.
This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR are welcome, we will be accompanying our hero and his family from Allen Brothers Mortuary to Miramar National Cemetery (approx.33 miles). Please see the time table below if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep the radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
