The family of US Marine Lance Corporal (LCpl) Russell “Russ” Peck, age 84, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service.  It will be our privilege to do so.

LCpl Peck served with the US Marines from 1958 to 1961 after the Korean War.

After his service, Russ started his family with his wife, Lilia.  They had two daughters, Denise and Lili.  Russ hired into the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff and retired after 30 years of service.

Russ was known as a quiet, humble man who helped mentor, teach and help others.  He was a devoted husband and married to Lilia for over 61 years.

Per a tribute from a personal friend, David Stunsun:  “I worked with Russ many years ago. I remember him as dependable to carry his load but more for his lighthearted and cheery manner. He enjoyed sharing his great sense of humor and made work fun. Russ tried to see the good side in trying situations and circumstances. He was a proud Marine and of his Irish ancestry and in general a good man. God bless you, Russ.”
