The family of Martin Albert has requested the assistance of their friends at the Patriot Guard Riders in honoring their Hero by accompanying him at his Final Military Honors at Riverside National Cemetery. We will proudly accommodate that request.
Marty served in the United States Marine Corps from 08/17/1953 - 08/16/1956. At the time of his honorable discharge he was a Private 1st Class (E-2). He served as a Mortar-man 0341. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton and in Japan before being deployed to Korea. His service in Korea resulted in his receiving the Korea Service Medal and the UN Service Medal. Throughout his life he remained a proud Marine.
Following his service to America, our hero owned and operated 4-5 bars, notably “The Thirsty Isle” in Long Beach. At the age of 37, Marty was injured in a horrible car accident that left him severely handicapped for the balance of his life. To pass the time, our hero enjoyed watching movies, working puzzles and corresponding with pen pals. When he was able he liked to walk. Marty was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls as he was originally from that city.
Our hero is survived by his twin daughters, Pennie and Sheri, and their spouses. He has four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded by his parents, Frank and Sadie Albert, and his wife, Janet Albert.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
