TIMETABLE UPDATE: Please see staging time change below. The family of Jacob Fuerte and the Los Angeles Fire Department invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their loved one’s funeral services. It is an honor to accept this invitation.
Following in his father’s footsteps, a 17-year veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department, LAFD Recruit Firefighter Jacob Fuerte, 22, joined the Department on 12 February 2024. Jacob was in week 10 of a 20-week rigorous training program.
In the early morning hours of 15 April 2024, a tragic incident occurred on the NB 101 freeway at Vineland Avenue in Studio City. Jacob was on his way to the Drill Tower Academy for training and was involved in a traffic collision. Jacob exited his vehicle to assess the situation and help anyone in need when he was struck by another car. Sadly, Jacob succumbed to his injuries.
Jacob is survived by his father, two sisters, and a brother.
