!!!ATTENTION: UPDATED TIMES IN TIME TABLE BELOW!!!The Patriot Guard has been contacted by the Fallen Soldier Group at Alaska Airlines to help them honor our Fallen Heroes.
This group is comprised of employees at Alaska Airlines who volunteer in their spare time to do what they can to honor our fallen heroes. They collected donations from employees and private donors to purchase an airline cargo cart, then painted and decorated it in patriot colors (see picture below).
They also arranged for transport by truck from Seattle to Los Angeles to present to LAX for the use of all airlines that arrive at LAX transporting Heroes when they pass away while on active duty and are returned home to their families. The PGR has been present at 11 Active Duty death arrivals in the last 12 months at LAX.
This will be the 3rd such cart donated, they have already donated carts to Sea-Tac, PDX, and now LAX.
This group has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany the truck as it travels over the states of Washington, Oregon and California. Our PGR brothers and sisters will be involved in accompanying all along the route.
This mission will begin at Sea-Tac in Seattle on Saturday, 16 AUG 14, will travel through Oregon, and will conclude on Monday, 18 AUG 14 when it arrives at LAX where there will be a ceremony of dedication/presentation. The PGR will stand a Flag Line at this ceremony in memory of the Heroes that have been honored in the past, and those that will be honored in the future by use of this cart in the dignified transfer from aircraft to coach.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these American Heroes. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the cargo cart from Seattle to Los Angeles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
