The family of Patrick Osio Jr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Patrick Osio was just 17 when he joined the United States Navy. He spent his first two years in Japan and did a total of 3 years active and then 3 years of reserve duty. After his time in the Navy, he started a little construction company where he worked making metal plating with his brother. He did over thirty years in this profession. Patrick was most proud of the articles he wrote for the Union Tribune and the Chula Vista paper about boarder policies and laws. He even won a few awards for his writing.

Patrick and his wife had five children and 7 grandchildren. He was mostly known for his generosity of spirit and always had a smile on his face. His humor was above anything else and always knew how to get a genuine laugh out of people.  He took very good care of his wife, and he will be very missed by his family!

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, all PGR members are welcome.  This mission is a Flag Line Only at Miramar National Cemetery.  Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep the radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
