The family of Richard Jack "Spider Man" Keehmer have asked us to accompany them as he is taken to his final resting place.  We are honored to fulfill their request.

Richard was a proud member of the American Legion and a rider in ALR Chapter 221.  He was also a member of VFW Post 5948 where he served as Commander from 2011-2012.

Richard was a Marine who entered into service on 17 December 1953.  He served in Korea as well as at the Barstow Marine Corps Supply Center.  While on active duty he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, UN Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the USMC Good Conduct Medal.  He left active duty in December of 1956 and completed his Reserve obligation on 15 July 1961.

Richard leaves behind his wife, Janice; four sons; Rick Jr., Mike Keehmer, Jeff Johnson, Greg Johnson and two stepdaughters; Karen and Michelle.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.  Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.  Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground.  Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
