The family of Rodney Aldred have asked the Patriot Guard to help fulfill one of his final requests - to be accompanied from the mortuary back to his residence.  We are honored to be able to fulfill that request for one of our own.

Rodney was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1971 where he attained the rank of Sargent (E-5).  He spent time in Vietnam and brought home part of the war with him - Agent Orange.

Rodney was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

Unfortunately, Agent Orange finally got the better of him and he choose to go out on his own terms.  On 16 August, he availed himself of the options granted under California End Of Life Options Act and left his cancer ridden body.

Rodney leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Jody, and her three children whom he adopted.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the family home, approximately 8 miles.
