This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Join the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to lay wreaths to Remember, Honor and Teach at more than 4,600 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.
The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) has had a soft role in the transporting the wreaths for the National Wreaths Across America Day from their rail yard to Riverside National Cemetery. On Friday, 13 December 2024, the Patriot Guard Riders will have the honor of accompanying the JB Hunt truck transporting the wreaths to the cemetery.
A locomotive will be staged along with the JB Hunt truck and trailer in the rail yard for a photo op with all participating motorcycles and cages before transporting the wreaths to RNC.
NOTE: This mission event posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring our fallen soldiers. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the JB Hunt Truck and trailer from the BNSF rail yard in San Bernardino to Riverside National Cemetery, approximately 21 miles. Please see the timetable below if you would like to participate.
NOTE: PGR has been asked volunteer to help with the unloading of the wreaths for placement on the graves the next day.
