The family of Brian Francis Williams has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Brian was born on April 14th, 1942, in South Dakota. Brian Joined the Air Force in 1960 and served honorably for 8 years until 1968. After basic training, Brian attended Munitions technician course (Load & unload weapons and flightline inspections) Then Brian attended courses to prepare and launch the Mace nuclear cruise missiles. Brian was then stationed at Sembach Air Base Germany joining the 38th Tactical Missile Wing (Missile Launch Team CGM013B Mace). When the 38th TMW was inactivated Brian was redeployed to Williams Air Force Base Arizona joining the 3525th Pilot Training Wing, helping train pilots and crews for allied nations who purchased the F-5A/B.
After his discharge from the Air Force, Brian attended Northrop Institute of Technology in Inglewood CA (Aircraft Jet Engine maintenance and repair) after which he was hired by Pan Am Airlines in Frankfurt Germany, as aircraft technician until 1975.
Brian and his family moved to San Diego 1975, working for US Navy Civil Service on North Island NAS, as a fighter aircraft ejection seat tech, until his retirement 2015. He earned numerous awards. Brian enjoyed in his free time: Scuba diving and snorkeling, Gardening, especially succulents, Air rifle marksmanship, Radio control airplanes, Photography, Maintenance of German American Societies club house and facilities, watching his grandchildren play soccer, and Gardening.
Brian was happily married to the love of his life Heidi who he met while stationed in Germany in 1962. His mother passed away Oct 26, 2017. Brian’s surviving family, daughter Silke, son Thomas, six grandchildren (Austin, Dillon, Jessica, Emily, Julia, & Chloe).
NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
