The family of Byron Ralph Boxwell has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them in paying honors to this American Hero and it will be our honor to do so.

Byron Ralph Boxwell, one of our Heroes of the 'Greatest Generation' served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946. His awards include the Purple Heart, American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal.

Byron had been a State Farm Insurance agent in Burbank, CA for 45 years. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club for 15 years, serving terms as both the president and secretary. Bryon was also an avid golfer and achieved a hole-in-one on the 11th hole of Crystalaire Golf Course.  Byron was also very active in his church and volunteered to help where he could, one of the things he enjoyed doing was delivering turkeys with the pastor to the homes of those in need during the holidays.
