The family of SSG Luis Bustos Solorzano (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to help honor this hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

SSG Solorzano served his country in the US Army from 1947 until 1957 and the National Guard from 1972 until 1989.  He served as an MP in Japan as an MP and in Korea both during and after the Korean War.  While the National Guard he served in Reconnaissance, Mortars, and as a Cook.

In civilian life, SSG Solorzano was employed at General Dynamics, Rohr and the Naval Air Rework Facility at North Island, eventually retiring from North Island as an electroplater.  His hobbies included traveling across country to visit family and friends.  He also enjoyed small woodworking projects, reading and watching Westerns and War movies.

He is survived by his brother Genaro, sisters Eleanor, Esther, Teresa, Cecelia, Rosalinda and Rozzi.  His children are Luis Solorzano, Mary Helen Gonzalez, Brian Solorzano, Ken Solorzano and Chris Solorzano.  He has 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
