!!! URGENT UPDATE !!! THIS FLIGHT HAS BEEN DIVERTED TO A DIFFERENT AIRPORT, INSTEAD OF MEETING THEM AT THE AIRPORT WE WILL MEET THEM BEFORE THEY ARRIVE AT THEIR HOME BASE AND ACCOMPANY THEM IN TO HOME BASE!!!! **SEE ADJUSTED TIME TABLE BELOW**The Patriot Guard has been invited by the Commander of the last Army Unit to leave Afghanistan to accompany them to their families. We are proud to do so. Last April, the PGR accompanied this unit to their departure point and in that process, we gave them one of our PGR Flags signed by the riders. That flag was then taken to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan and flown over the Camp by the order of the Commanding Officer. This unit was so favorably impressed by the accompaniment that they have requested us to accompany them from the arrival point back to their families.
Please bring your smiles, handshakes, hugs, banners and flags and be prepared to thank them for their service and all that they do to keep us free and allow us to sleep safely in our beds at night.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Army Unit. We will greet these Marines upon their arrival and then accompany them to their home base. Please see the time table below if you would like to participate.
