The family of Sgt Major Gary L. Condrey have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero from the mortuary to the cemetery.  We will be honored to do so.
 
Gary enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1957 at the age of 17.  He served his country a total of 30 years.  He served 2 tours combat duty in Vietnam in addition to being a Recruiter, Infantry Unit Leader and a Drill Instructor.  He received the Good Conduct Medal with 7 stars, the Meritorious Unit of Commendation, a Navy Commendation Medal with V, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 stars and numerous other medals and citations.
 
After his retirement for the military Gary worked at the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant, he volunteered for the San Diego Sheriffs Department Senior Volunteer Service.
 
Gary’s surviving family include his wife Barbara of 49 years, sons Robert and Steve. He was preceded in death by his son John.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
