The family of David Gonzales Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard to join them in paying honors to this a member of the "Greatest Generation" for an American WWII Hero, it would be our honor to do so.

David was born in Los Angeles on June 28,1925. He grew up in hard times like a lot of his generation did. But one thing that was always instilled in David's heart was Patriotism, and the love for his Country.

David had been 18 yrs. old  for barely 5 months when he answered the call to duty. During that time David did a multitude of duties. Eventually he ended up serving with the 101st. Airborne, Parachute Infantry Regiment. While parachuting into hostile territory under fire in Holland, David was wounded.

David received the Purple Heart, and a Presidential Citation for his heroic action... David was honorably discharged in 1945.

David spent as much time as he could with this grand kids, and always instilled just as he had been, the importance of loving your Country, honoring the military, and loving your family...No matter what.

David passed away in Hesperia, Calif. on December 16, 2014. David said "he will be meeting his loving wife, Carmen, and his 4 children Anna, Richard, Patricia, and Frank at the gates of heaven".

David is survived by his loving daughter Gloria, and his Grandchildren:
David, Kimberly, James, Richard. He also leaves behind 11 Great Grandchildren
