The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to attend the unveiling of California’s “Remembering Our Fallen” memorial. It is our distinct honor to be present for this unveiling. This will be the first time that the California version of this has been displayed anywhere.

“Remembering Our Fallen” is a war memorial that consists of individual state exhibits created to remember our country’s Fallen from The War on Terror since the Twin Towers fell on September 11, 2001. Unlike most war memorials made of brick and mortar, these are designed to travel so that more people can have the opportunity to remember our Fallen while being reminded of the tremendous cost of our freedom.  This memorial is the 14th of 50 that is being constructed by Bill and Evonne Williams of Omaha, NE. More information can be found at: www.rememberingourfallen.org

The Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley saw the importance of this memorial and have opened their Air Force One Hangar for the display.

There are 710 California heroes honored on this unique memorial which consists of panels covered with pictures of each Hero, both military and candid, personal notes from the families, etc. We have attended many of their Angel Flight arrivals, candle light vigils, military honors, funeral services and memorials. It is only fitting that we will also be there for the unveiling of this memorial and show our support for their Gold Star Family members.

The Gold Star Families of these 710 heroes have been invited as honored guests to attend this unveiling. As of 21 Jan 15 over 750 RSVP’s have been received from Gold Star Family members so far. That number is expected to exceed 1000.

Please bring your flags, smiles, and hugs as we honor and remember these Heroes.

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Fallen Heroes and their families.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be riding to the Ronald Reagan Library as a group, please DO NOT go directly to the library as they have reserved special parking for us and you will not be allowed to park with us. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
