The family of Ramon Bustamante Ramirez has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the services of their Hero and honor him. It would be our privilege to do so.
Ramon served his country two times. First in the US Army Air Corps during WWII from 1944 to 1948. He then served in the US Army, 82nd Airborne during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954 where he trained paratroopers stateside.
Ramon worked in construction as a carpenter until he retired in 1990. After that, he worked for a doctor remodeling his home. At first, that was 5 days/week and then it finally went to 1 or 2 days most weeks up until the end of his life on earth at the age of 87. In his off time he loved being with family barbecuing or just hanging out. Many times he would play the guitar and people would join in singing. He and his wife, Sally Ramirez, had 7 children and were married for 67 years. His oldest son, Raymond, was a Marine who has passed on.
He left behind his wife, Sally; 3 sons, Albert, David, & Ruben; and 3 daughters, Roseanne, Joanne, & Lisa. Also left were 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren along with 3 brothers, Bunky, Lupe, & Tony and his sisters, Esther & Olga.
